Mies.

Back in February, the Mies Von der Rohe's pavillion was the key point of my BCN visit. Built in 1929 for the Barcelona International exhibition, it became an architectural reference.  Unfortunately they were renovating the building, so i couldn't really shoot exactly how i planned. But needless to say that every line, furniture & material is incredible. I've particularly appreciated the opening on the sky in the little patio. Mies was a true visionary.

  3. This really reminds me of this Art gallery/cultural centre we visited in Lisbon. I wonder if it's the same architect? Either way, you should go here if you get chance - the photo opportunities from the extensive gardens outside would be amazing. http://www.golisbon.com/sight-seeing/ccb.html
